From 2006-2009, PJ Shadowhawk played drums for the original QUASAR, a Prog Rock band relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area from England. Formed in 1979 by band leader Keith Turner, QUASAR has gone thru a few different line-ups and played for thousands of fans in England and Europe. With semi-legendary status, QUASAR helped to forge the neo-progressive era of music along with such notables as IQ, Pendragon, Pallas, Landmarq and Marillion. PJ joined Quasar in 2006, first with the line-up of Alvek Frenk on Keyboards, Enrico Goias on guitars, Joseph on vocals and, of course, Keith Turner on 12-string guitar, bass and bass pedals. In late 2007, Robert Robinson joined as the new singer and keyboardist, as Joseph and Alvek had left the band. Shortly after, Enrico also left the band. In 2008, Greg Studley joined on guitar. After a few live performances and much recording... in August 2009, PJ played a final live performance with the band and also left Quasar. PJ, joined by guitarist Evan Raymond, has now completed work on a new solo CD, "Land of Dreams"
